Leeds-based digital marketing agency, Modo25, is expanding its team with the recent appointment of three new recruits.
Ioana Dobos, Charlie White, and Abbie Hooton have joined the agency, bringing a wealth of expertise and innovation to further expand the agency’s capabilities.
With over five years of marketing industry experience, Dobos rejoins the agency as a performance marketing manager, specialising in Affiliates Management – after working at the agency in 2021.
Prior to returning to Modo25, she previously held the role of affiliate manager at AWIN and her extensive knowledge and experience will contribute significantly to the agency’s affiliate marketing strategies, ensuring continued growth and success for clients.
White is joining the team as a junior data analyst, leveraging his prior role as a data associate at Merkle/Dentsu.
As part of his role, he will be responsible for cleaning and manipulating data from various digital platforms and channels, maintaining, and enhancing Modo25’s AI-reporting platform – ASK BOSCO™.
Finally, Modo25 welcomes Hooton as a junior paid media marketing executive. Hooton will be responsible for supporting the paid search, paid social, and affiliate marketing efforts. She previously studied Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Nottingham.

Leeds-based facilities management and maintenance provider, Lonsdale Contracts, has appointed Mark Johnson as business development manager.
Johnson, a former first-class cricketer, brings a wealth of experience to Lonsdale having worked for blue-chip organisations such as Norland (now CBRE), NG Bailey and Lorne Stewart where he was instrumental in securing building maintenance contracts.
The appointment is part of a strategic growth plan for the business and coincides with the acquisition of a new 2,360 sq ft head office in West Park, next to the Leeds Outer Ring Road.
Christian Higgins, joint managing director of Lonsdale Contracts, said: “Mark is an excellent addition to our team and his knowledge of the facilities management sector will be pivotal in helping us achieve our ambitious targets.”

Formed in 2008 by Higgins and Andrew Mayo, Lonsdale Contracts provides commercial and residential facilities management and maintenance through its own in-house workforce to clients including; pension funds, managing agents, housing associations and estate management companies.
It also provides new build after-care to the construction industry.

Three key business people in the region are taking on new and senior positions within the business community.
West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce has three new ‘president-elects’ for Bradford, Leeds and York & North Yorkshire.
The business representatives will lead and campaign for their respective areas on behalf of the local Chamber membership.
Mark Cowgill of Exa Networks will represent Bradford; Sound Leisure’s Chris Black will cover Leeds; and Sarah Czarnecki of Gray’s Court Hotel takes on York & North Yorkshire.
Each has extensive knowledge and expertise in their own field, with years of experience of working with stakeholders and dealing with key decision-makers.
They will represent their members at high-level meetings and chair internal Chamber groups as part of the info-gathering and policy-making process in the business organisation.
Chair of the Board of West & North Yorkshire Chamber, Amanda Beresford – herself a past president for Leeds – said: “This is an exciting time for the Chamber and for the wider business community.
“Yes, there are some tough decisions being taken in many businesses and life is a bit tricky for many, which is why it’s as important as ever that our politicians and other decision-makers are fully aware of relevant business issues.
“We have another great team stepping up and an expert policy and representation team supporting and continuing our lobbying activities – and so I’m very confident for the future.”
Cowgill said: “I’m looking forward to following on from some of our recent great business figureheads, and confident about taking Bradford forward.”
Black added: “Leeds is already a great location in which to do business but I’m sure that we continue the good work with other stakeholders to push on to another level.”
Czarnecki said: “It’s a privilege for me to take on this key role right now. We’ve a great support team helping the local business community, so we’re in good hands.”
The votes were passed at annual election meetings in each of the three areas covered by the organisation, and are expected to be ratified at a general meeting later in the year.
Aqila Choudhry, of Love in Care, is to take on the role of Leeds Chamber vice-president.

York Cares has appointed Jamie Kew-Robson, head of assurance at Aviva UK, as new chair of the employee-volunteering charity.
With over 26 years’ experience within the financial services industry, Kew-Robson currently leads the Assurance function in Aviva’s UK Insurance business.
He takes over the position of chair from Louise Soulsby, UK communications lead at Aviva UK, who is stepping down after two years in the role but will remain as a director.
Kew-Robson said: “York Cares makes a huge difference in the community, while also benefiting those who volunteer and see the positive effect their time can have personally.
“I am happy to have been appointed chair and feel privileged to be involved with such an amazing charity that brings employers, employees and businesses together to make a positive impact in the city.”
York Cares is supported by the city’s businesses, who encourage their staff to volunteer their time and skills for the benefit of the city, with the aim of making York a better place to live and work. 
In return the employees benefit from personal and professional development including teambuilding and leadership skills.
Departing chair Louise Soulsby said: “York Cares is such a simple name, but it conveys so much, as it is the essence of what this wonderful charity does.
“I feel very privileged to have been a York Cares Chair and bring people together to make a difference to our local community.”
